Dual-board certified DO Family Medicine Nocturnist - out to demonstrate that one can have an adequate and fulfilling life with hobbies and interests beyond the practice of medicine. In todays climate, It's so easy to get caught up in the routine physician mentality, one can forget there's so much more to life than a job or career. So here we are! With one major goal... showing the benefits of life beyond medicine.
Currently - actively practicing nocturnist, working towards a more wholesome life in rural Kentucky. Currently developing 25 acres of land into a sustainable farm/homestead while providing hospital care to local citizens in the tri-state area.
Previous - Las Vegas, NV. Spent 5 years as a geriatric hospitalist until life pulled me in a different direction.

First time on a tractor with a bush hog to clear some of the farm land. 25 acres is way more than anticipated, so there is still a ton to do. Don't worry, the snapping turtle was all good! No damage, did not get hit, completely docile, and happy to just be left alone (quite like myself).

I went to my carnival for the Fourth of July and I rode the alien spinning ride the zero gravity, a glider ride like a spinning bear ride and like two other ones but I forgot they were so much fun, but I rode the alien one 1 million times😂😂

it is not really that scary. It's kinda like a Gravitron, but you feel the force in a wavelike pattern (I think, because I felt it like that) It's not scary, it's fun

It’s fun to throw poop while you are riding with friends. We used to throw poop bags back in the day.

Hi Doc! I am a soon to be PGY2 FM resident and planning to work as a hospitalist...how to do you see the job market for FM trained physicians? Was it easy for you to find a hospitalist position?
I didn't hit any resistance at all! It seems now everyone is recognizing that FM/IM are bot capable, and they're looking more for fit and solid training. You MIGHT hit some resistance in larger academic hospitals, because they want the inpatient wards run by IM so they can teach/educate to pass boards. I know some FM programs can be very clinic-heavy, so make sure your program knows your path and goal so they can set up the next year and a half to push you to succeed. So sad and infuriating to see a physician meant to help and care for suffering humans speak about his job with boredom, frustration and disgust. Yet he talks about geckos with curiosity and excitement. What would it take to engage your best energies in the care of people?

It's still very common, I see it in every fun fair I visit
I probs would do this ride but I literally can't bc the fact that I have a massive phobia of throw up and throwing up and my dad said one time someone threw up in there 🤢 and it went all over people
I know how bad this fear can affect you, being that I also have it but trust me, go on it at least once!! There is an chance no once will vomit on you, don't let it stop you from going on the ride!!! Have fun!!

Unfortunately I have moved out to Las Vegas, so there's no way of me going back for LobsterFest this year. Las Vegas has a ton of opportunities for food vendors and smaller businesses to launch their products if you ever make it out this way. I also might recommend looking into the Sweets and Snacks Expo, I know a few people on the board there if you're trying to get your wife's product line out into commercial vendors and more publicity.
I remember riding this for the first time. But the one I rode doesn't have a bar it has nothing but a chain in front of you and all you had to told on to was the side bars. The only way I was calm on that ride was when I started to yell can I get a hoyaaa
I LOVE THIS RIDE SO MUCHHH
I love this ride but please take breaks before u go on it again. I went on it twice in a row and had only about a one min break because there was no one in line. I went on again and when I got off I was so dizzy I almost collapsed. The effect lasted for about an hour and a half and had to go home (it took so long because my friends parents were in town and they left their kid there and they had to drive him back)
I remember going on this ride (my friends made me) it was good though I went on like 3 times!
